    Edit Curtain System from Mass

    OK..

I thought I had done the hard bit.. creating the mass, shaping it, and applying a curtain SYSTEM ..(not WALL) to the face.. Job done..?

Now all I want to do, is create some mullions etc, in the areas where I want them.... I can create the vertical ones, but the horizontal ones are driving me barmy.. I can add a grid line in, but I have no way of actually giving them an accurate dimension..? It does not at any point allow me to type or amend a dimension..?

Attached is the mass and the situation I am trying to solve..

    Any ideas, greatly appreciated....

Not sure why you are not able to dimension curtain grids right away... just made a quick mock-up and it´s working fine here...

Anyway, create horizontal ref. planes where you want the grids, and use align to place the grids on the ref. plane - that should work

        One more question..

I need to apply a basic wall to the same shape as attached above, but at the first floor level.. Problem is, when I use pick face, it wont actually slice the angled piece off of the left hand side.. The curtain system works, but the wall wont.. I am a little stuck..

        Cheers

          OK..

If any one can confirm or deny this..!

I have re-created the shape I am trying to use as my basis for the external wall. The one shown above is a solid extrusion, from the base up, and then I have created a void piece and taken it away to get the splayed end on the left. This front face will not accept a wall in the same shape as the face. It will not splay left edge to line up with the shape.

If however, I re-create the shape, and manipulate the edges / points to line up with the shape above, it will accept the wall in the same shape as the face. I.e. this shape is one piece, as opposed to a solid and a void.. Is there a reason for this, or is this something wierd going on, or have I done something wrong..?

          Cheers..
