    select by parameter? curtain wall panels' materials by parameter, by type or family?

    I have a curtain wall that I have used to clad my building in HPL cladding. I have added a material/colour parameter to the panels so that each can be distinct - I would like to be able to select my panels by parameter - is there a way to do this?

    Also, is that the right way to go about getting different colours or materials for the same family and type? it seems odd to me to create a different type or family for each of a blue red or white panel when each one is the same material. Your advice is appreciated!

    You should be able to schedule your panels and sort by your parameter.

    If they are the same material and only the color is different I would make a type for each color. Technically they are different materials

    Curtain Panel - Plastic (family)
    Red Panel
    Blue Panel
    White Panel

    Curtain Panel - Metal (family)
    Red Panel
    Blue Panel
    White Panel

    etc
