OOTB Structural Tag on a Custom Family

I have a custom joist family that I created and set to the Category "Structural Framing". When I try to tag this family in my project with the OOTB Structural Framing tag, I cannot rotate the tag to orient with my family. Does anyone know why this is happening, and if there is a way to make it work?

    Thanks,

The issue doesn't come from the custom framing family, it comes from the tag itself. Open the family, check your "family category and parameters" and verify that the "rotate with component" checkbox is checked. The tag should then rotate with the element it is related to.

      Thanks for your reply.

I looked at my tag family and the "rotate with component" is already checked. I may have forgotten to mention that I have other framing families in this project and the tags are working as expected with these.

      Any other ideas?

      Thanks, Sarah
