I use my own area tag for my area plans... Area name, area, perimeter... and I added a shared parameter "calc_area" (type area) which is very useful for me... I will have to write calculations of the area and most of the times there are some differencies...
For example... AREA= 80.58 m2 but after calculating using dimensions AREA1=80.64 m2... So, I can't have two numbers for the same space...
This works OK and it can be inserted in schedules.... My question is: Is it possible to initially assign the value of the area that revit shows?
I mean, when I create an area, AREA=AREA1... and then, if calculations show something different, I will change the AREA1 number...
I ask this because in Revit when a=b and I change b then a changes too... (or this happens only for dimensions?)
I hope this makes sense...
