    References same view

    Hi Everyone
    I have been thinking about this for a while and was wondering if there is a solution. I have created a series of A4 sheets in which I have placed plans and sections. The section markers therefore reference the sections and various other things properly which is great!
    However, I have also created an A1 sheet and want to put all those same plans and sections in there too. I have placed the plans in the A1 sheet but when I put the section in there as well the section marker references two points like the figure below:

    I was wondering if there is a way for the A1 sheets to refer to the A1 sheets only and for the A4 sheets to refer to the A4 sheets only. If this cannot be done, is there a way for the section marker to at least reference the sections properly and not on top of eachother as it is shown in the figure above.

    I am also duplicating the view as dependant and then referencing it in the A1 sheet if that clears things up

      I think your only options are to manually hide the views or try to set up some kind of filter to hide views on a certain sheet. Filters don't seem to work as cleanly with elevations, but they're great for hiding sections of a particular type or on a particular series of drawing (sheet number starts with G for example).

        Thank you very much Chris.macko. I managed to figure out that I need to hide the elements in the view I am working on. I was wondering if there was a more elegant solution but I do not think there is. Thanks

          View filters setup as part of the view templates can be a very elegant solution provded you have something you can filter for consistantly. For example I have filters on all my sheet views that automatically hide any section or callout that's on a sheet beginning with ASK, so my sketch sections don't show up. It would be similar for presentation or code analysis views that I typically wouldn't want to show up anywhere else in actual CD set. If you're only talking about a handful of sheets though, than it's probably easier just to hide in view as you said, but this is the kind of thing that can be built into a template if it is common on your projects.
