Can we have a "Management" Sub-Forum?

    As per the title.

    Why?

Because I never know where to (best) start management-type discussions (licensing, protocols, training, inductions, tests, etc)

Which is why I'm now off to post a new thread in "Architecture and General Revit Questions".

    Again. :banghead:

That's a fine place for it. "Out There" is also a great place for a lot of those kind of discussions as well - it's underutilized as it is.

I'm not against what you suggest, but my feeling is that if you want to add another sub-forum, you have to find one to get rid of (or combine with another) first.

When we originally setup RFO, we tried to make a point of not having an overwhelming number of sub-forums... you reach a point where a lot of users "give up" and just end up posting everything to "General Revit Questions" and/or don't even bother to browse the other sub-forums. This was clearly that case at AUGI in its heyday (last time I looked, they still had an absurd amount of sub-forums), and quite frankly, I think it's already become a little bit like that here at RFO as well.

    Just my 2 cents.

thank you, all original setter uppers of this forum. There's nothing worse than having to wade through a multitude of sub forums to get through all of the daily new posts. I think that RFO is set up very well in this regard. I can blast in here and get through all of the new posts in the forums that I have an interest in in short order.

And to Snowy, I agree that the RAC General forum is the correct place for your management type posts. I see them there and have an interest, but as I'm a self employed sole proprietor I don't have much input on such things. Management to me is "what time to I get a glass of Syrah?"

Agreed with the above... Although I don't drink Syrah and do have some management issues to deal with when working for my clients...

management issues and clients just go together don't they? I have clients that don't do email, that want to fax everything. Then I have clients that are cutting edge, teleconferencing, GTM, webinar type of people. Pretty interesting group my customers

Oh, and out of curiosity, do you not drink Syrah because you don't like it or because you aren't a wine drinker or because you don't partake in alcohol ingestion. If it's the latter then I can't help you

It would be nice to have a management forum but I could see it getting out of hand with sub-forums ala AUGI.

Semantics Bourbon is Whisky but Whiskey is not Bourbon. And then there's the mess about spelling it with an E or not

btw - whisky/whiskey is a funny looking word
