Thank you, that was short and easy. The winners get hotel accomodation, too, wow.

Speaking of AU, I would like to comment that the call for proposals for classes for next AU opened yesterday. The deadline for submitting proposals is May 6, 2011. Last year, Autodesk received approximately 2,000 proposals for classes, but only 747 made it into the event, including live and virtual classes. Two of the administrators of this forum, Aaron Maller (Twiceroadsfool) and myself, were among the speakers and lab assistants last year. If anybody is interested in sending a proposal for a class, and needs any assistance, we can use this thread in the forum to talk about that.

There were about 6,000 attendees last year, and some other thousands registered for AU Virtual; it was the first time that the virtual event offered classes in other languages: Portuguese and Spanish. There were some proposals for classes in German, but they did not make it in the final selection. The virtual portion of AU had technical difficulties the first day, but it was fine the next two days. I am sure Autodesk will make the necessary improvements to AU virtual for this year. All the recordings are available all year long for subscribers at the AU website, anyway.

AU is a nice experience; there is always a lot of good technical information to learn about, there is the opportunity to meet new people from other countries, or to know those folks that you have seen only on the forums, and there is always a chance to make some contacts for future work opportunities. I was lucky that one of the contacts I made at the exhibition hall last year, has turned, three months later, into a very interesting contract for me. I certainly want to be there this year, too, at The Venetian.

We have a few very interesting class proposals we are submitting this year, but some of them may not have the flash and flair, so they wont get picked. I was going to submit the Template class again, but three years running its not been popular, so im leaving that one out.

That's too bad you're leaving that class out. I would think that there would be many people interested in knowing how to build a good template.

(EDIT: I moved my question about preferences for classes at AU, to a separate thread in the general forum)
