    Revit to 3ds max

    Has anyone experienced this situation?

You import a revit model to 3ds max (via fbx link or fbx import) you convert the scene to vray materials then after setting camera, lighting and textures, some of the element's normals are flipped

I''ve tried the normal modifier but found that this just messes things up even more.

    Any suggestions?

I think I had the same problems with some models and I used DWG, no solution possible...

Another issue I have had is that revit exports everything as individual entities entity even when you chose join geometry. This becomes a chore when you need some items to be a single entity. in order to map some "dirt" correctly on the model. While Boolean operations seem to fix this, sometimes it can't join the elements correctly and I end up rebuilding things in 3ds Max.
I wish there were more export options within the fbx plugin that would allow for more control of what get exported, how it gets exported and options to weld vertices and unify normals
      Oh well...
