Hide grid number in detail view

    Hi all,

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to hide a grid number in a detail view.
I use the same detail number multiple times on different places in a project, so the detail is identical but the grid number varies. To prevent confusion i'd like to have a blank grid head. I prefer not to hide the grid line itself because i need it for some dimensioning.

Does anyone know if this is possible or does anyone know a workaround?

You should be able to turn off the grid head, and then do a symbolic grid head that is blank in its place.

You can Duplicate your standard Grid Type, name it Grid-No Bubble. Edit Type and choose "none" for Grid Head.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the grid is in a linked model. So I could't edit the Grid Type.
I thought there would have been an option somewhere to just turn it off, but it looks like there aren't any options to do anything like that with a linked grid. I solved it by using the copy-monitor tool to copy the grid (which i rather don't do if it isn't necessary) and then edit the Grid Type.
        Thank for your helpful advise!

If you just want to turn off all the linked grids in your view, do it through Visibility Graphics > Revit Links... set the Display Settings of the link to <Custom>. Then in Annotation Categories tab, change Annotation Categories: to <Custom> and turn off your grids.

Then, do as gdoherty suggests and use a symbolic grid head.

I do this so often, I created a Detail Group of a Circle and the "COL." text to use for each scale detail view I use.
