Post of The Month - "Automatic" nominations

We are very close to introducing a new forum function, to "automate" the nomination process for Post of The Month (POTM).

Here´s how we´ve planned it to work, and if you have suggestions for improvements then please speak up now

The main purpose is to spare everyone from going back thru 1000´s of posts at the end of each month, instead it will now be possible to nominate a specific post right after you have read it.
    • At the upper right corner of each post, there will be a small button which can be clicked to "nominate for POTM"
    • Once clicked, there will be displayed a small star saying "this post has been nominated for POTM" - This star is now visible to everyone.
    • You can nominate as many posts as you like.
    • Guests/Visitors are not allowed to nominate. (You have to be logged in)
    • The buttons will only be displayed for 15 days after the post has been made - This is to ensure that a post made at the end of the month, will get the same exposure as a post from the beginning of the month.
    • The server generates a "top" nominated list for each month, and at the 15th there will be posted a Poll with the top ten nominated posts.
    • The Poll will be active for a week, and the winner will be announced around the 22nd.
