That being said, can you explain why the bump would affect the color so much? Even though it's the wrong shade, your's still looks way better than my original one. I think it's because of the bump map.
The material map you send me is surely not that red But if you change the material to something based on a "generic brick" you get the option to change the color, so just change that to something more redish, and remember to turn the image fade down to ~80, and you should be just fine.

The bump doesn´t change the color, but can affect the darkness of the render result. (more bump = darker output)

      Dan,

I haven't seen the original image and the original model but it seems to me that you didn't need to do anything to the trees in the image. (something about the angle or perspective on them seems a little weird)
Can you explain how you composited the image?
Also the reason the brick is not as red as the image you are trying to approximate might be because the image sample you have for the material is more brown than the reference See attached image

I'm starting to see that now. I've been staring at brick samples for so long they all look the same. I guess I'm influenced by the actual brick sample sitting on my desk. When I put that up to my monitor, it seems close. Like Alex said, maybe my monitor colors are off.

Anyway, I didn't exactly mess with the trees that are shown. There was a huge tree in the middle of the site that is being removed. It was showing coming out of my building, so I had to remove it. It was in front of the existing trees on the right, so when I deleted it I had to fill in some leaves. Also the area where the trees meet the sky is really blurry and just crappy looking.

As for the angle, it's not exactly the same one I used for my rendering. I just chose a picture that seemed close and used that as a in Revit's render dialogue. Fortunately, the owner of the company is in his 70's and easily impressed. lol

Excellent tip. I'll have to remember that.

            Dan-

Have you tried throwing the sample brick at your monitor?

Its probly only thin brick... wouldnt do enough damage. Why not just get out the crayons and "render" it freehand.

Because I have Revit. It does everything, plus makes cake.

Instead of throwing bricks, just change to a more red color...

                    The attached used, RBG=188 52 86, Image Fade=76 & Image Brightness=50

Looks great! It's the whole "generic brick so you can change the color" trick. I'll definately be remembering that one.

                      I guess I should do another render..................<sigh>
