    Rebar Shape Browser

    Hi all,

I have closed the rebar shape browser in a project of revit 2011. Now I want to bring it back on the screen to see the graphical shape of the rebar codes. I searched a lot in the software but i could not find where to unhide the rebar shape browser.
    Can somebody please guide me?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards,
    Ali Akbar

    Hi Ali, welcome at RFO.
Try to place rebars on an element, then you should see in the option bar, under the ribbon, a small button with 3 points. Hit it, the browser should be back.
    Good luck.

I actually have a computer where it DOESNT show up when you try to place reinforcing, and i dont know why. The users (our Structural engineers) say they have never seen the shape browser, so we did a goto meeting and looked at each others screens: Works fine on mine (standard installation of RST), doesnt work on theres at all.

Is it possible to NOT install it in the deployment? How do they get it back? I was going to tell them to reinstall, but i dont want them to end up with exactly what they have now...

If the ecclipse button isn't available that is very strange indeed. Rebar is built into the software so there is no chance of turning it off.
Is there any reinforcement shape families loaded in to the Project?
            Hope this helps.

Yup. Brand new project, started from the AUtodesk template with plenty of rebar shapes. I do it on my machine = Rebar shape browser. I do it on theirs = none.

That should not happen. Please file a support request with ADSK support.
