    export to CAD preserving layers

    Hello everyone!!!
My questions is for those who have a heavy Revit to CAD and CAD-to-Revit workflow.
Ok, so I import CAD underlay and add revit model to it. Then I want to export it to CAD and send back to consultant, but at consultant's office they need their layers back as editable and separate as they were before + whatever I added in Revit. I was going through export settings in Revit but but Iported categories are deemed to gray, despite there are layers when you expand the + . So tell me anyone, is there an option to enable Imported categories in export settings _ layer selection when you export back to CAD?

actually I have linked the CAD drawing into Revit. I mean it was not imported it was linked. Now, I didn't try but I feel like if I import it and explode it in Revit it will allow exporting layers separately. But I want to work on CAD linked file because sometimes there are some stupid things that you want to modify in an original CAD drawings and you want these changes reflected in Revit underlay.

Export it to CAD without linked CAD part and re-import CAD from Revit over original CAD (in CAD, of course).

Do you mean expoert Revit part without CAD link > then have some reference match line > then just copy to original CAD drawings as a layer? wow, that sounds not bad ... actually it may work for me.
