I've been receiving many complaints at the office about deleted dimension. It's really difficult to figure out when Revit deletes them without warning. The few times we are aware of this is when a modified family is loaded back into the family. Even if only the height is modified the dimensions in plan are deleted. This also happens also when the linked structural model in reloaded into the project. In all other cases, it just happens randomly.
This has caused some serious problems, where consequently we need to go through all our sheets to ensure that all dimensions are present before plotting. We don't use any dimension text anymore since Revit deletes the text when the dimension is changed.
Has anyone dealt with these issues? Since Revit doesn't have the option to disassociate dimension like Autocad, I guess the only option at this moment is to place them on reference planes.
