    Random Window & door Heights

    I know this was reported as possible bug.
    When inserting windows and doors in RA 2011 they insert at random heights. These windows and doors I have used for years without any problems untill RA2011.
    There were posts about changes (updates) to family templates that maybe to blame.
    Does anybody know if this issue was resolved or how to resolve.

    dunno, but maybe this is a consequence of the new family creation mode in 2011.

    I would try to set the

    [UserInterface]ResetInstParamsPerTypeFor2011DummyInst = 1

    Parameter in the ini file, and look if it helps.

        Also, don't forget to check the "default sill height" parameter of your families.

          So far this ini. fix seems to solved the problem. I wonder if the users that were having the same issues know about this fix. "IF" the old data was available I could search to see if it was a confirmed fix.
          I remember Jerry "Jetisart" was one with the same issue. It would be nice to see him surface here ( I get the feeling he is lurking in the background) and "Chad" form Aust.

            Jerry (Jetisart), the man with the black hat, from Australia, knows about this forum. I personally gave him the latest news about Augi and invited him to this forum, in a chat conversation that we had via Skype. I haven´t seem him here yet, though. It would be great to have him on board.

                  Yeah, this fix came about because the way Instance Parameters lost their default values per type, once Create Similar was used, was really brutal on the MEP guys. Its been a long time coming.
