    Duct Fitting Breaks Air Flow

I'm missing something simple with this family that I built. I've tried a couple different ways, even edited an OOTB family that does work. When I connect a duct with airflow to this the airflow gets set to 0.

Did you try changing what the part type is? Perhaps try setting it as a wye or pants or multiport fitting. Also, IIRC, fittings like to have the primary connector on the left, so you could try rotating the family so that is true.

The solution was to remake the connectors. The family was originally categorized as mechanical equipment. After putting it into the project I realized that wasn't going to work and changed it to a fitting. I guess the category of the family has a hidden effect on the properties of the connectors.
