    AV in Revit

Are there any AV people out there?

After doing MEP for nearly 20 years with the last 10 in Revit, I felt it was time for a change and an opportunity came up that got me excited about drafting again. At first, I was skeptical thinking that it was going to be primarily 2D but they have been using Revit for quite some time so I went for it. It turns out that finding anyone else that is doing this is proving to be a challenge. I was surprised to find a lot of content but who is actually using it. I'm thinking primarily architects but there has to be some other AV design firms using Revit out there.

I've yet to meet anyone who does, professionally, but I do for fun...

Whats with us working with Revit all day and then building more families 'just for fun' in our spare time, we must be nuts !

And I don't know any AV people

That's why I play D&D and video games. I need a reason to not stay in Revit.

To be fair, the PA family set are modifications of builds I actually DIY'd and for when I needed to space-plan my (tiny) London flat - the smaller stuff is nice fluff for interior work at work - so it's all got gainz.

Built a sound studio in Revit since the AV folk were just using Autocad including a sound proof room for a music building years ago. It was fun to do. Actually found issues with their drawings in the process.
