Question converting from Autocad 3D to revit

    Hello,
I have a project that is saved on Autocad 3D , and i wanna convert it into revit !
my question is , do i need to rebuild all the elements (walls, floors, piping , cable path ...) ?
is there are any extensions or another softwares that allows me to find the elements builded while converting !
    Best regards !

To do it right, you'll have to remodel it. There is one known workaround where you can import the 3D model into an In-Place Family as a Generic Model which gives you a certain level of control but it's far from an ideal solution.

    Smile Work Clean, Less Mean

In order to avoid issues and use clean "families", it would be best if you imported a 2D version of the MEP objects and used Revit families to re-create your project. It'll take less time than it seems, and your end-result should work well and be 100% Revit-friendly. AutoCAD imports tend to be inconsistent based on whether or not you're importing 2D lines or 3D complex MEP objects.
