    Two level based family

I am creating a family that is attached to a base and top level. If i import it in a project and use the family (as a generic family) it is only visible before placing in the first floor. If i want to place it in the 2nd or 3th floor the family is not visible before placing it. I think the model is always at first constrained to the base (first) level in the project. Is there a possibility the family is visible on the current floor before placing it?

Yes, adjust your View Range to accommodate. Use Unlimited extents for bottom/top planes.
