Parameters in annotation family vs 3d family

I am trying to edit our scene switch and occupancy sensor families to add the right offset and up offset parameter. in order to do this the switching labels must be added into the annotation family in order for it to move with the symbol when offset. currently the labels are their own annotation family put into the main 3d modeled family. I can not use it them like that in order to offset they must be in the annotation family. also i need two types for when the family is hosted from the top of the family or bottom so the labels show on the right side of the lighting devices regardless which side its hosted to. i can not figure out how to make the switching label link to change for every instance in the project and offset with the devices with keeping the label on the right side.

    Wall of words.

    Paragraphs help.

    Pictures moreso.

If I understand your dilemma correctly, I believe it's a case of accepting you will have to use Tags (in addition to generic annotation symbolic representations for all principle orientations) unless you want an ungodly number of instance properties per element for graphical control of family-embedded annotation alone.

the Switch labels is how I need the Scene switch labels to work when hosting to the top and bottom

the picture with the scene switch is an example of now I need the annotation part of the family to move when needed while the 3d part of the family stays in place

I have attached a copy of the family

Place two instances of the same label in your family one at each location then give each one an instance yes/no visibility parameter.
    Or use tags.

I can get two different labels to show. I just cant seem to figure when the device is hosted from the top how to keep the label on the right side of the device it always flips to the left.

Use a set of imaginary reference plane to constrain the anno horizontally and vertically. This would gives you the flexibility to move the anno as desired.

    Hope this help.
