    Connectors

    Morning everyone,
In our office (ACAD)we have a half shaded telephone outlet representing a combo Data/Tel outlet.
Is is possible to create one in Revit. My question is are the connectors different? Am I able to insert both type of connectors?

Yes, absolutely possible. The connector can be whatever it needs to be... the symbol is the thing mostly in question. The connector simply holds the required electrical information for the connected load, so whatever that needs to be, make it so. Symbolically it can be whatever it needs to be via a nested Generic Annotation.

make the outlet two seperate halfs that make up the whole size of the out let the connectors will not be on top of each other this way. the connectors look slight different one is a filled triangle while the other is an empty triangle

still working out the best way to do shaded

just remember the genric annotation will shrink and grow depending on the scale

but yes generic annotation is the way to go some things came up here at work and i didn't get back to my post for awhile
