Pipe Annotation Size for Wye fittings does not Correspond to the MEP Definition

Does anyone know why the wye fittings are huge when using the annotation scale and how to rectify it (while keeping the lines in the fitting)? My Annotation size is 3mm (which is what the tee is).

Annotations for fittings are in the fitting families themselves. So it depends how they have been made.
Ideally the annotation lines in the fitting will have a parameter to control thier size.

The wye fittings and the tee are both made the same (I think, they are the OOTB ones). If I take a tee (or cross) and make it have a 45° angle the symbol does get bigger but not nearly as big as the wye fittings. Most of the fittings I see, the annotation lines are controlled by the same parameters as the geometry.
