placing a lighting connector to a lighting consultants light fixture family

I am working on a project that has 2 different lighting consultants. My questions is I have placed lighting connectors into their lighting families in order to power the lighting circuits. The problem is in some of the lighting consultants lighting families my lighting connector gets lost or nested behind their symbol not letting me tab to select my connector to power the lighting circuit.
Does anyone have a solution how to fix this??? so I can select my lighting connector.
Thank you in advance for any assistance!!

Why do you need to select the connector in order to circuit, or am i confused about the question? Click the fixture and select power from ribbon, select panel and then select the other fixtures you want connected to that circuit.

Hello, I am a ligthing designer (quite new in the revit world), and I have some related questions:

    1) we would not like to insert the electrical connector in the lighting fixture; we are suggesting the electrical engineer to copy monitor with mapping the lighting fixture families; since we are not moving or re-defining the geometry of the lighting fixture, would this be the best practice?

    2) with the method on point 1), parameters such as voltage and power could be read from the shared parameters that have been already filled in the lighting fixture families: is that correct?

    3) neverthless, the electrical engineer asked to create shared instance parameters such as circuit number and switching type: will they be filled by the lighting designers or by the electrical? can the electrical engineer fill these parameters?

Thank you in advance for the help!

    3) the electrical engineer asked us to add two shared instance parameters ( i.e. circuit number) to the lighting fixtures families: is the electrical engineer allowed to fill these fields (without touching the lighting fixtures families)? can these parameters be added in the correspondant lighting fixture families of the mapping?

Thank you in advance for the help!
