Hi Dhilip; did you already try to do that by selecting each element and then by changing its properties in the dialog box?, another workaround can be a filter which you add some Comments, HTH

        Hi Again:

        First things first:

        1. What type of elements are you changing?,
        2. What categories are involved? (Electrical, Structural, Piping?)
        3. Did you have some View Templates?

You need to provide more info, pictures and all the stuff you consider can help any other person to understand your problem, otherwise this will be hard to us to find a solution, best regards

          hi Andres Franco,

I need the few elements in the view to change its detail level. For e.g. if a view is in fine detail level, I need some particular elements to be in Coarse detail level.
From the attached Script I found only the element colour is varying.

in Detail i want the purlins alone in Coarse detail level and rest of the framings in fine detail level.
Under the Structural Framing Category I need to change different detail level e.g. (primary, secondary, girder, joist are in fine detail level and purlin in coarse detail level)

I didn't have any view specific template.
I need to change the detail level(fine, coarse) purlins in floor plan view and cladding rails in elevation view.

I am using the default revit structural template provided by autodesk

Hi again, I think you can do this by using a view template, View templates allow you to control different types of detail levels for several elements and you can save those settings for other views, if you open your VV/VG there you'll find the elements you've already mentioned, so once then you may want to change the detail level for each (primary, secondary, girder, joist are in fine detail level and purlin in coarse detail level)

Even if you are looking for more flexibility you may want to edit your families!, but I guess that with the VG set up you'll achieve your goal, HTH
