    Existing Piers Best Practices?

Disclaimer: I have no structural modeling background, hence my question(s)

I have been tasked to model existing concrete piers for a traffic bridge. Going off of sketches and some, not many, points shot, the challenge will be creating surfaces and then extrude them to form a solid pier structure. Is Revit the tool for the job here or are there better ways to model existing structural elements?

I should note that the modeling requires the as-built conditions of the surface, not a "perfect" flat plane. I.e. the existing surface of the piers undulate a bit and yes this is critical to capture to a tolerance.
