Support of Excavation drawings within a revit model

Hello guys, I try to transfer even SOE in Revit model. here are a few questions

How to exclude soldier piles from column schedule? Same thing to lagging? How to make it like two different projects within one model or this is a bad practice?
Should I just start a new project and underlay existing model?

    Thank you!

Sometimes I have some columns that I do not want to show in the Graphical Column Schedule. In the past, I actually grabbed all of them and in the comments, typed in something like "not in gcs" Then, on the schedule, I would apply a filter that would not show columns with the comment "not in gcs"

Now, since I use workshared projects, I would probably create a workset specifically for the entire excavation structure. Then, in my schedule I would not show any excavation workset.

Yes you can even add a parameter to your piles for example and then include this in the filters part of your schedule

Or you could even just filter by family type

Filter- family type - does not contain (or does not equal) - Soldier Pile
