Structure visibility Question

Hey guys,

I have a question about the visibility options.
I tried in this 3d view to uncheck alla the architectural elements.
It work okey for coloums and Beams.
What is problematic is the floors and walls

I have structural floors such as the blue one and an top of them i created a second floor only for the finishes..
In the visibility properties if i uncheck the floors both floors go to hide!

How cann i show only the structural one!
THe same problem i have with structural walls and architecture walls!

Hi sotekt, In the drawing area, right-click the element you want to override, and click Override Graphics in View - By Element.The View-Specific Element Graphics dialog opens and displays the current visibility and graphic display settings for the element. You may need to expand the categories to view setting details.


In the View-Specific Element Graphics dialog, make your edits.

• • Visible: show or hide the element in the view.
  • Halftone: blend the line color of an element with the color of the view. All line graphics (including fill patterns) and solid fills are drawn halftone when this option is selected. Halftone has no effect on material color in shaded views.
  • Projection Lines: edit the line weight, color, and pattern.
  • Surface Patterns: edit visibility, color, and pattern.
  • Surface Transparency: display only lines for the element and not surfaces. Use the Transparency slider to set the percentage of surface transparency.
  
  
  • Cut Lines: edit the line weight, color, and pattern.
  • Cut Patterns: edit visibility, color, and pattern.
  
  After you edit any of the above, you can click Apply to keep the View-Specific Element Graphics dialog open and instantly see how the change affects the model
  
  When finished, click OK.

Note: Individual element overrides are not stored in view templates.

Thanks for the answer but i think my Questions was not really answered


If you see here floor are in one category! even if they are architecture or structural floors! So i cant hide only the architecture ones!!
The same problem goes for walls! i have some structure walls and a many many arcitecture! i cant hide or override one by one!

Any other way? Thanks

ok I see, So a filter may be more useful in this case since you can add some parameters like "comments" to hide specific objects :coffee:, to do this go to:

Visibility graphics - Filters - Add filter (See Images)



Then go to Modify/Add, then you must create a new one and check the box for the right category - for this example I've add a "STR" comment to be able to filter the specific floor I need to hide (See images)



After do this you must go to visibility graphics and add the filter, then you just need to un-check the visibility box, this may let you hide your ARC floor without hide the "STR" ones (See Images), Hope this helps



My Revit is in french but is pretty much the same thing for the English version
