    Dylan,
Can you describe the Civil3D and Revit workflow a bit more? Is there any use of the ADSK file format involved?
Are you talking about an Extension for Revit that works with Civil 3D? See attached.

Thanks in advance for any info.

That's what I don't get... I have all 3 revits (2012), and civil 3d (2012) installed... I don't have normal AutoCAD 2012 installed, but I don't think that would be a problem would it? I'm going to try downloading it now to see... le sigh

You need to install Civil also in order for this to work.

help needed with civil 3d extension.

I am trying to use the revit structure extension "integration with AutoCAD Civil 3D" and am receiving the following error message when I try to use the tool:

"The required AutoCAD Civil or AutoCad Civil 3D version is not installed, detected or set as default. AutoCAD process not found."

How do I go about fixing this connection?

    My info:
Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1
    i7-2630 cpu, 2.0-2.8GHz
    8GB DDR3 Ram 1333GHz
    nvidia gtx m460 1.5gb
    Revit Structure 2012 (student version)
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 (student version)
