add user define column family

Hi, all,

I am a newbie of Revit for 4 days. So, my qiestion might be stupid. Please forgive.


Followed is the snapshot of the default structural column family. How can I add title "User define columns" that includes several profiles in "Structural Columns"? For maintenance purpose, I don't want to add new profiles to either of the system familles (not in the Circular one, not in the Concrete one nor the UC one).

I personally would not try to go for an all-in-one column beyond what is included in the OOTB columns (fireproofing not withstanding.) It is actually easier to manage columns & framing by shape both at the family level and project level, at least in my experience.
