    Under floor mechanical layout

    Hi guys,

I am use to using Autocad and new in using Revit MEP, using 2011 version.

I have an underfloor HVAC system. Do I need to create an underfloor view in order for me to do my HVAC layout or can I use for example Level 1 layout. I tried using the Level 1 layout and used a negative offset but one of the problem I encountered was elements could not be seen and selected.

I appreciate your help on this matter.

    Thanks,
    Actor

    hi actor,

you can use the underfloor view or better a section view as you guide in laying out pipe in the level/plan..
if you can't see any element better check the 'thread in this forum--33 ways not seeing the object'.

    happy reviting

Keep adjusting the view offset in your HVAC plan. Thats how I get all my different height offset plumbing done on one plan. Pay very careful attention to the cut depth and upper/lower limit depths when setting your view depth and you'll get what hidden elements u want to be looking at.
