Duct Accessory Without Duct Ends Visible

Is there a way to create a duct accessory family which stop the duct ends from being visible? I've tried masking up it had some strange affects. The only thing I can think of is having the duct connectors really close together, but then your not going to be able have it represent reality very well.

I went down this path about 8 years ago and never could get it to work. I gave up.

Great, time for the good old company standards talk.
      Thanks for the response.

When you're done with that, let me know when you're free so you and I can have the "quit using black background with colors" talk.

You're just afraid of how cyberpunk I am. I have a script that randomly changes my background color every 5 mins.
