Simple (i hope ) family Issue

    Hi all,

I have come across a litle issue. I am sure there is a simpl fix, however I cna't for the life of me work it out.

I have created some mobile peditals (the type that sit under your desk). Anyway, I have nested some "typical" components (castors) and some detail components (handles).

Now i have created a new sub-category in the Furniture category to which I can assign the content modeled in the familiy itself, however I cannot assign the nested components to the same sub category. What this means is that in the project, when I turn off the "pedistal units", the nested components remain visible. How can I get these to react with the sub category they are nested into?

    Any help appreciated.

You´ll need to add those EXACT same sub-categories to the nested components (Open the nested components in the Family editor, add the sub-categories, and apply to geometry) - And watch out for spelling, upper vs. lowercase, etc., Revit is Very picky with that
