Revit does not allow me to change material of imported object

Hello,
I downloaded a family file from BIM object website.

However, it seems like it was imported from other 3D software and does not allow me to change its material.

I tried to fix it by "edit family" and "manage - materials". however, it didn't show me any material.

Looks to me it is a leftover from modeling (it is a box, so no clue why they used that in the first place). Get rid of it and see what happens.

And that family is a prime example why I do not use downloaded models much, so many clutter in it.

Also grips that break the model when you use them, weird materials and loads of parameter nobody has any clue about what they do I'm guessing.

How to change imported in-place wall material

Created an in-place wall, then imported a SAT file (exported from Rhino), and... that's it, cannot change the material.
