    Hi All,

I'm wondering if it is possible to create a door tag with text that can be editable without a parameter? I've tried creating an annotation label with a door tag, but does not seem to work. All I need is that this to be a text with is part of the door tag and I can edit manually within the revit project file, is this possible?

And the reason why you don't want to give it instance parameter, for example 'description', so that you can write whatever you want, is...?

We have an apartment complex with multiple units, and we've created each units (12 types) as a revit link into the parent building. In terms of the door tags, we were wondering if it was possible to have a door type as well a location number? but in doing so, we can't seem to tag these doors with different location / numbers because it will need to be different per floor? so was wondering if this is possible to create a door tag that we can have a text that we can just edit it's location number?

Yes, you need to add a label with INSTANCE parameter (not TYPE parameter), and you will be able to write limericks for each door separately.
