Position Light Source Parametrically Revit Family

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a light fixture family, and can't seem to figure out how to get the light source flex with the fixture. I am trying to do a troffer where the light emits from the bottom of the troffer. However I can't seem to associate the light source with a reference plane, nor can I do dimensions. Is there anything special that needs to be done? I attached a file with this problem. Basically I want the light source to flex to be one "Fixture Height" away from the "Ceiling Line" reference plane.

    Thanks.

The light source can be aligned and locked to a reference plane

Use the "Align" command, select a reference plane (assuming you are using them to generate the family) select the light source, hit the padlock icon.
