    Revit Families or Assembly

After editing a family or assembly, the plan does not get updated, i can see in the editing mode past changes and changes in 3d. i made an assembly of a work station and after modifying the layout esp stretching desk length , revisions aren't seen.. does it have to be reloaded, where are assemblies kept, in the project file or desktop?

I haven't worked with assemblies, so can't answer about them. Families (.rfa files) must be reloaded into the project to be updated.

Assemblies are not like groups. So if you copied the assembly and expected it to update you are using the wring tool. Use groups instead
