    How does this formula work?

I was just reading through a thread in the Gen Arch section of this site and came across a post from Alex (http://www.revitforum.org/architectu...tml#post100213). I downloaded and opened the third rfa file he posted (the one named "Breakline - Single").

It's got something in the paramater definitions that I don't understand.

Specificially, there are two paramaters Scale and Scale Factor. The formula for Scale Factor is (1' / Scale). I am able to change the value of Scale Factor and when I do, the value of Scale updates. If I change the value of Scale, then Scale Factor updates.

I didn't think it was possible to do that.

I've found it "works" bi-directionally when you're not using identical parameter types (here you've integer & length)

Thanks. That's cool. There've been many times that I wanted to do some type of bi-directional formulas. I'll have to keep this in mind -- hopefully, if (when) I have that need again, I can find a way to make this work. I say hopefully because sometimes the two paramaters were the same type.
