    Creating a new door family from scratch

    i created a new door family from scratch.
    when it is inserted in a project, its elements do not stay together and i can't figure out the issue
    can anyone help me to fix this please?

    It's breaking when you change sizes because none of your extrusions or sweeps are locked to reference planes. Basically, build your families like this (this is the quick and dirty version, it's usually not this simple):

    First, put in and name your reference planes for the things that will be parametric.
    Next, add your parameters and flex your family. By that I mean change the parameters and make sure the reference planes move correctly.
    Last, put in your geometry and lock it to the correct reference planes, always flexing the family as you go to check it. It's easier to figure out what's wrong when you've only done one or two things, rather than trying to figure out what's wrong when you've done a hundred things and the family is done.
