Simple curtain wall by grid problem

    Hi all,

I am Just getting into adaptive components, and have come across my first problem, that has me pulling what little hair I have left out.

Simple to most of you seasoned pros I dare say, or even beginners.

Using a curtain wall by pattern, grid 20x5m have a surface which I have given a solid extrusion of 300mm. Now here is the problem need to offset a photovoltaic panel (essentially another solid) by 500mm from all sides which sits on the surface of the other solid, and have applied a parameter to all 4 edges, locking in the perimeter to a ref plane. But for some reason it don't work when loaded into a project. I am missing something very easy i know but just need it pointed out if possible please?

    Cheers

    Hi Redemption, welcome in RFO.

Your profile says you are with 2011. You can't play in project with AC. It is allowed in 2012 only.
That said, can you post your family? Or maybe a screen capture of what you're trying to achieve?

Ha yes have 2011 and 2012, but predominately use 2011 at work. This is a 2012 query. Will post a screen shot to explain later.

      Cheers
