    Mullions......again.

I have a sloped glass roof that needs mullions.
I need to be able to change the type of mullion.
Presently I can't get anything other than the standard rectangular mullion ie center top bottom.
I have gone and made a new mullion from the mullion template and loaded it into the project and it shows up. But I can't assign it within the curtain wall dialogue box.
From what I've gathered from previous posts the common suggestion is to load or copy a curtain wall from another project. But surely there is a more logical method.
    What am I missing?

To make your own mullion type select the mullion tool, select Edit type, select Duplicate, name as you like, then select your new profile from the drop down list.

Also does your new profile appear in the Curtain Wall Type Properties drop down boxes ? If so just select it and it should appear in your curtain wall.

Excellent. Got it. I'm assuming all newly created mullions have to be under the rectangular mullion family.
I know this is pushing it, but can you Mitre the joints of boarder mullions?
As in emulate the sweep of a UB around a corner.Click image for larger version

Unfortunately not, only the usual change direction controls (image 1)

But for your situation you could use a "component\model in place\sweep" using a profile the same as your mullion. with a little fudging you could get the same result, to get the job done.(image 2)

You could possibly make a curtain panel with the sweep built in, but we will leave that one alone for now.
