    Revit & Construction Management Software

Is there anything out there that plays well with Revit? We're using Prolog and they have a tool to link RFIs to Tekla GUIDs, but it's not very sophisticated.

What do you mean, plays well? GUID's out of Revit are accessible downstream, so thats not really any issue. The bigger issue is just if you want to push the data back. There are some very simple ways to do it (all varying levels of manual work), but thats to be expected. What is the level of expectation? What do you want your CM software to do with your model?

I'd like to get the entire project team on board with a way to post and reply to RFIs (and other correspondence) in a model environment. With my experience, this would have to be web-based with no plug-ins required for it to work; we have too many clients that are unable or unwilling to install Navisworks or even Design Review. We may finally be making the jump to another CM solution after a long time with Prolog, so I want to pick something that will not limit our integration with BIM in the future. I'm starting to lean towards Viewpoint for the time being, does anyone else have experience with their software?

Newforma has a new hook/tie into Revit. I haven't seen it yet but I have a webcast scheduled to demo it. We used to use AEC Sync. They were just acquired by Newforma.

You betcha. We have just released an application that runs inside of Revit and links and creates Prolog RFI's (after logging in to Prolog). It takes full advantage of Prolog's workflows. The Revit elements tagged, color coded Red, Yellow or Green based on there state. Stay tuned for a press release from Meridian and feel free to contact me if you want to learn more.
