Walls drawn on wrong level

Hi

I have drawn all my walls on the wrong level (1st floor, not ground floor) how can I move them to the correct level. I'll try to find the answer in the help etc, but just in case, some guru here might have the answer or a better answer than I might find. BTW I only have the walls drawn ATM so there is nothing else to be concerned about.

Hmm! I just thought of renaming and setting the dimensions of my levels and deleting the original ground level. Would that be a good method.

no no no ... Don´t touch levels. Just select your walls and cut them or copy them then go to Modify tab click the small icon under the Paste command to expand it and choose ˝Aligned to selected levels˝ and then choose your desired level from the dialog and click ok

Or you could also select all your walls and in the properties tab change the base level to ground floor that you want and the top level to the correct one.

Well, I see it's already been answered! I was going to suggest the same way JCM did it, but spotless' suggestion is just as easy. Either way will do.

I think overall I would go with JCM's suggestion because if you have any annotation, doors, windows, etc they may not come through when you cut and paste.

Thanks for the very quick response. I did not return to the forum until today. I Used JCM's method and changed the base level. There was an error about "could not cut out instances"? This was the two windows I had placed in one wall. I chose the delete option in the dialog as it is easy enough to redo the windows

I was actually going to comment about that, but got busy and didn't . :laugh: In the future, just change the base level. Then, change the windows to the correct level. After that, go back and change the top level of the walls. Basically, making the walls really tall so the windows don't get deleted.

Either that, or you could possible cut the windows, change the wall level, then paste them to the new level. I'm not sure if that works since there is a command between copying the windows and pasting them to the new level. You could check it out, though.
