Problem with tiled roof using textured mullions

Hello, I'm trying to create a tiled roof effect using mullions with a clay tile texture. The texture is applied begining from the upper part of the mullion and that's ok as long as both edges are parallel, but when they form an angle, the lower "tiles" are not aligned, causing an unwanted effect.
Does anyone know of a way to apply the texture from the lower end up so the tiles in the lower egde of the roof are always aligned?
    Thanks in advance.

Apply a surface pattern to the mullions, align the texture to it (if you apply a surface pattern, there will be an extra option available underneath the surface pattern preview for this). You can align the surface pattern to the roof edge. Not sure if you need to do this for every mullion separately though...

Thank you, mdradvies, I've tried, but surface pattern lines on a curved surface don't seem to let themselves be aligned and even if they did, the whole roof has quite a few tiles to go changing one by one.
I think the problem with aligning the surface pattern lines may be that there`s not a single view in which they don`t look curved.
Anyway, isn`t there a more general method of indicating that the texture sould be aplied beginig from the other end of the mullions?
        Thanks again.
