    Calculate Roof Area for Slope Glazing roof

    Anyone knows how to get an area showed up on a schedule for the slope glazing roof.
    I made a slope glazing roof and include an area field on the schedule, it shows empty there. (but basic roof would show area on that field)
    Any ideas?

    For slope glazing roof you will have to use a Panel schedule
    Revit Architecture - 3ds MAX Design - Octane Render - and many working hours...


      I am aware of that, but I was hoping if there is a workaround to schedule the overall roof area. I would think Revit should be able to do it since it knows the overall footprint of the sketch line.

        You could create a Mass with the shape of your sloped glazing, load it into the project, and convert the sloped face to a curtain system, which should then allow for the overall Area, as well as individual panel areas. I'd have to test this to confirm, but it might be worth a try.

        Edit: I just did a quick test, the Curtain System will not show overall Area; you could schedule the Panels or by Material ( glass ).

          The Sloped Glazing is technically (to Revit) not a 'roof' so it won't schedule with other roofs, as discussed in others' comments...One could though, at their own peril :-) try One of these two options:

          1a) Create duplicate generic roofs in the same place & locked to the 'sloped glazing'
          1b) Put a visibility filter on all views to not allow them to show (except when editing)
          2a) Use (in some or even many cases) "Basic Roof's", with distinct types & materials + by adding model surface patterns these can appear like gridded systems...

          It all depends on what you need
