I recently started working on a revised template, and am having problems doing a Transfer Project Standards from my Standards file. I can't get Elevation Types, Section Types or Callout Tags to transfer. Anyone else seeing the same issue? And have a sense of when this got broken? I would like to have as much info as possible before I post the bug report, and I didn't need TPS while I had RTM or WU1 installed, so I am not sure which of those caused the break.
Transfer Project Standards is working fine, in my opinion. After you transfer Callout Tags, Elevation Types, and Section Types from Project 1 to Project 2, the existing elements of those categories do not change immediately in Project 2. You need to go to Manage > Additional Settings > Callout Tags, Elevation Tags, and Section Tags, and configure these items with the new families that were just transferred from Project 1.

I think Alfredo is correct. I don't think it's broken - it's just convoluted and non-intuitive. I had to make myself a little process flow chart to do what you are describing. It helped me to get the names of things properly squared away too.
Hmm, I could have sworn it was once possible to transfer say Section Types and it would handle all the "behind the scenes" stuff. Likely I just wished so hard for it to work that I just started to believe it. Instead it is just one more reason why TPS is mostly useless, the main one being I NEVER want ALL of things like materials, or walls, etc. Not if the library file is anything close to complete.
You can copy and paste a placed example of each section/callout/elevation marker between open projects to copy their setup.
I have found that 'Transfer Project Standards'(TPS) IS broken, when transferring between different family types. I have a curtain panel that I am regenerating as a generic model. TPS suggests that it is transferring 'Object Styles'(OS) yet subcategories(SC) aren't transferring. I have also tried copying and pasting geometry between families, which works fine, and the correct SC is shown when each component is selected. However they are not available in the SC dropdown for any other components, and are not present in OS...
Any ideas?

I'm trying to get stuff from an existing project into a new one using the Transfer Project Standards tool. I've noticed (so far) that section types and...
I messed up. Big time it appears. In an effort to purge a couple things, I purged "all" unused items. I didn't catch it for quite a while. A...
