    Can't Unhide through a Link

You can Tab into an item that's in a Link and Hide in View (in my case it was Mechanical Diffuser I wanted to hide)
However, there's no way to Unhide it once it's been hidden.

Move your mouse over a family in a Linked file
Tab until the family is pre-highlighted
    Select it and right-click
    Hide Element in View

Now, try to make it show again.
Go to the Light Bulb (Reveal Hidden Elements)
Move your mouse over the Hidden item
    Tab until the item pre-highlights.
What's that you say? It never pre-highlights!
There seems to be no way to select something in a Linked file in order to Unhide it.

According to the Enhancement List for RAC 2012 Service Pack 1:
"Enables visibility of hidden elements from linked files when project is upgraded"

    Not for me, it didn't.

I follow the steps, and it works fine for me here.
I tested it with RAC2012. My build number is 20110309_2315(x64), and I don't remember having installed service packs yet.

works fine here too, RAC 2012 Build 20110916_2132 with both updates installed
I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

Evidently, this is unique to files that have been upgraded.
My original problem was on a couple of files that had been upgraded from (at least) 2011.

I created two new files, and it worked fine.

Does it also fail if you link the original file into a new 2012 file and then reapply the linked files?

            Hi,

I experienced the same problem, but using RAC 2014 Service Pack 1. :-(
Even if I tab somewhere in the area of elements multiple times, it won't appear the pre-highlighted elements.

            Any advise?

            Thanks in advance.
