Elevation callout vanishes with change in level offset

I have a project where each of the floors is offset from the level (see previous discussion https://www.revitforum.org/architect...oped-site.html)

That went great. Thanks for the advice. Now that I'm finished modeling I'm having trouble with the interior elevations. As I crop the elevation to the appropriate heights the elevation callout loses the tag calling out where the view is located. The tag for the sheet remains though.

In particular the view that prompted me to ask is on the 2nd floor. The base of the walls are offset 8'-6". Plan regions have covered all the modeled elements nicely. But I lose my elevation callouts. What am I missing to get the callout to display properly?

I believe you need to leave the extent of the view intact. Use a masking region to hide the lower information in the view.

That's a bit of a bother. The views will extend off the sheet if I do that

Perhaps use a Ceiling Plan which should show the elevation tags, as it seems like a cut-plane/view range problem with the floor plan?
