Override walls with solid color and pattern by filter

    Hello Forum

I'm currently trying to find a clever way, to override walls by filter with a fill color (Solid) AND a fill pattern.. I want a red fill with a black cros hatch.
    But can it be done?

Tried adding two filters with solid fill and one with the pattern.. But that did not work.. What to do? Any of you guys can figure out a clever way of doing it. Don't want to go though the horror of creating first the filled region, and the the fill pattern.. :banghead:

I guess that coarse detail level is sufficient for what you need.
In that case, select the wall, go to Type properties and under Graphics, change coarse scale fill pattern to Solid fill and coarse scale fill color to whatever you like.
And of course, change detail level of the view to the coarse.

EDIT: Sorry, I can see now, it's not what you want.

I don't think that there's a way for Revit to "naturally" allow you to do that. Only thing I can think of is place your red filled plan on a sheet, then duplicate that view and change the override to patterned and transparent. then place that view on the sheet aligned with the other.

create a new wall material that is red, and a crosshatch surface?

          I think I've missed something.

biff, I believe the OP wants to do it in a floorplan where the walls are cut by the cut plane like this....

The thing is, I want to be able to override it by Filter value. Say Parameter X = ABC then the wall shall be red with crosshatch but if its = XYZ then blue and diagonal hatch.

I think the option with the two plans overlaying each other is the only way?

@DoTheBIM -> Yes, that is, how did you do that, and is it by filter as described above?
