Trying to join a wall finish to a wall with an opening. Doesnt play nice

I have joined a wall finish to wall that has an opening but the wall finish is ignoring the wall opening. is there any way to get around this other than creating another opening in the wall finish?

It depends on how the opening was made:

Opening Tool: no, youll need another one.
Component with Opening in it (Door, Generic Model Family): It should cut through both
Component with Void in it (Door, Generic Model): Only if the void is deep enough to cut both.

.....and it is necessary to join both walls ¿No?

Shoot... people around here say "tag" all day long but really mean text with a leader! You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

There is also the option of using Edit Wall Profile for the finish wall, and lock the sketch lines to the opening. But that method is somewhat controversial.....:hide:

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should
