Is there an 'explode' command in revit?

I have a 3d Model of something that I want to put more detail on? So i want to make it just a drafting view, is there a way to 'explode a 3d element' in revit so its just 2d line work? here is the attached element i am trying to 'explode'
    Any tips much appreciated !

There isnt an explode that makes things go from 3D to 2D, no. In cases like that people augment (add over top) with Detail Components and Linework. In worst cases, they trace the item with linework and detail components, and then hide the item (i dont recommend this).

A specific case like this (Won Doors in a three hour enclosure) i would actually consider making out of modeled walls, and a simplified Won-Door Component that is just the stack and the stack door, for instance. Reason being you may also want those three hours walls to read as hatched in your Code Compliance Plans, or tagged as such with wall tags. Because they are "part of the door" right now, that wont happen.

The Won-Door in our library is everything INSIDE the metal framing, including markers for where the metal framing goes, but the partitions are not included in the door component. Makes life easier.

You can export the view, to CAD format.
      And reimport the CAD format.

do it carefully, lest you go to the dark side

I would seriously trace the entire detail with detail lines before I would do that. Yuck.

Me too, but in Spanish there is a saying:
"El que por su gusto muere, la muerte le sabe a gloria"
(He who dies for his pleasure, death tastes him to glory)
